Ms. Pinkham joined Polaris Project's National Human Trafficking Resource Center in 2008. She completed an MA in English at the University of Virginia, where she wrote her thesis on narratives of sexual violence in Medieval and Renaissance literature. Prior to joining Polaris, Ms. Pinkham worked for the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society in Charlottesville, where she conducted legal rights outreach and education to migrant farmworkers in Virginia's agricultural areas. Ms. Pinkham is proficient in Spanish, and has enjoyed traveling to South America, especially the Amazon in Peru.
