| Kathleen Davis is the National Training Coordinator for Polaris Project, an organization combating human trafficking. She has worked in this field for the past five years in which she has released statewide reports and worked with legislators, local and federal law enforcement, US Attorney Office, Ohio Attorney General Office, social service providers, coalitions and taskforces, and others addressing human trafficking. Kathleen has developed and directed programs to address human trafficking at a local, national, and international level. Projects included writing law enforcement and social service curriculum, acting as statewide liaison, collaborating with organizations such as the United Nations on programming. She has trained individuals on human trafficking, including international and local law enforcement, military, foreign delegations, legislators, attorneys and judges, social service providers, medical professionals, and general public. Kathleen also has direct experience in policy development, congressional testimonies, coalition and taskforce development, case referrals and assistance, and academic publication. Prior to joining the Polaris Project, Kathleen was the Director of the Partnership for Human Freedom, a contemporary slavery program at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She received her BA and MA in International Relations with emphasis in peace and security from Wright State University. She was a former Polaris Project Fellow in Fall 2005. |
