NJ Development Intern (unpaid)

Position Description:

Polaris Project is seeking 2 Development Interns to support Polaris Project's local fundraising initiatives. The Development Interns will engage in identifying and cultivating relationships with new donors, reaching out to local businesses, corporations, schools, churches and community members as potential partners, acknowledging gifts, planning small special events, and developing strategies to stimulate and guide Polaris Project's growth in the state of New Jersey. The position will be supervised by the Sr. Development Officer in the Washington, DC headquarters and receive support from NJ staff. This is an exciting opportunity for those who are comfortable working independently. Experience fundraising is strongly preferred. The positions are to begin as soon as possible and candidates must be able to commit to at least 10 weeks.
