Information Technology (IT) Fellowship

Location: Washington, DC
Salary:  Unpaid
Type: Full Time (Preferred)

Position Description:

The Information Technology Fellowship will support IT systems throughout the Polaris Projects DC offices.  Responsibilities will include maintenance and repair of hardware and software, database management, basic networking, general technical support, and problem solving.  Major projects will also include the research, planning and implementation of new IT systems throughout the organization.  

Requirements:

  • Commitment to human rights issues
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS
  • Working knowledge of Mac OSX
  • Experience with basic computer hardware modifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with website development and maintenance
  • Strong creative problem solving ability
  • Able to learn new software quickly
  • Strong, independent work ethic
  • Reliable and organized
  • Ability to teach others
  • Experience customizing salesforce.com installations (preferred)
  • Experience working with database integration (preferred)
  • Experience developing automated submission forms (preferred)
