Nikki Marquez | Policy Associate

Nikki Marquez currently serves as Policy Associate for the Polaris Project. In her role as Policy Associate, Nikki works with the Policy team to advance state and federal legislation on human trafficking. Prior to joining the Policy Team in June of 2011, Nikki was a Policy and Legal Fellow in the fall of 2010 and spring of 2011.  
 
In addition to her work at Polaris Project, Nikki has provided technical assistance to transitional housing providers and STOP Grant Administrators on providing economic security for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence. Previously, Nikki has worked at an organization that provides re-entry services to current and former offenders and at Google in its recruiting department. While living in San Francisco, Nikki volunteered with several non-profits, including The SAGE Project, Call+Response, and the San Francisco chapter of the U.S. National Committee for UN Women.    
 
Originally from California, Nikki graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Public Policy and Economics. She received her M.A. in International Relations and International Economics from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
