Johanna Olivas graduated from the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington D.C. where she majored in Political Science and specialized in Race, Gender, and Politics. She was awarded the Frederick Douglass Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement. Johanna regularly volunteers with our Client Services Department working directly with our clients in the job-training program. She primarily works on developing and maintaining communication with our online community via our grassroots network and various social networking sites.

Johanna was also the Operations and Organizational Development fellow in the summer of 2007. Preceding Polaris Project she interned for the Family Justice Center in Brooklyn, New York, which provides services to victims of Domestic Violence.
