Alden Pinkham | Program Specialist and Trainer

Alden Pinkham has over three years experience working on the issue of human trafficking with the National Human Trafficking Resource Center and the Training and Technical Assistance Program.  She is the regional point of contact for the Midwest, where she coordinates referral contacts for the NHTRC hotline.  Ms. Pinkham develops materials for use by the NHTRC and the anti-trafficking field, as well as reports on human trafficking trends for use by federal government agencies.  Additionally, Ms. Pinkham has conducted trainings for diverse audiences, including healthcare professionals, social service providers, international delegations including government, non-governmental organizations and law enforcement, students, and community members.  

Prior to joining Polaris Project in December 2008, Ms. Pinkham was a Migrant Outreach Worker with Central Virginia Legal Aid Society in Charlottesville, VA, where she conducted direct outreach in Spanish and English to agricultural workers throughout the state.  Ms. Pinkham holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and English Literature, and completed a Masters degree in English Literature from the University of Virginia, where she wrote her thesis on narratives of sexual violence in Medieval and Renaissance literature.
